hp 2575

I have attempted to install my printer using the supplied drivers on disk. I create a tcp/ip printer port and receive the message printer not responding and cancels the printer install wizard. The setup program will not run regardless of what I do.
Has anyone else found this?
Also, does anyone have any ideas how I could use the scanner feature on it?
(I can't usb it unfortunatley)
